Boom Radio plays mostly Australian music with a focus on the local Perth scene. About 60-70% of our playlist are Perth artists, 10-20% Australian and the rest is what’s hot in the charts right now that we can’t live without. If you’re a Perth local, you’ll know most of the music scene is indie or rock with a folk touch. Boom could be described as an indie station, but it’s student run and presented as CHR so it’s kind of hard to determine a format.
