The station began in early 2000 but can be traced back to 2001 when it seemed like a good idea to try Live365 and EBM-Radio.com became a founding member. At the time there was only so much bandwidth to go around for Shoutcast connections and Live365 seemed like a good alternative. Officially becoming “EBM-Radio.com” later, January 2002, due to a lack of creativity in naming but a need to get a proper name and website with the streams popularity increasing. Having gone through many stages of evolution and operating out of pocket on a not for profit basis with zero sources of revenue of any kind aside from small donations here or there of money and/or music – as of now, 2013, we’ve been supporting the industry and artists every way possible for over a decade.
